Flying Neko 

From a collection of Yōkai Adventures

 

"Japanese supernatural cat transforming into yōkai. Also known to be a symbol of good luck."

Collection "Yōkai Adventures" are illustrations inspired by Japanese mythology and historical folklore. Yōkai are a class of supernatural entities and spirits in Japanese folklore. This project originally started by a collection of an illustrations. However I re-created it to a physical products, such as: T-Shirts, Stickers, Cards, Risograph Posters.

 

Inspired by books: Something Wicked from Japan: Ghosts, Demons & Yokai in Ukiyo-E Masterpieces; Japanese Woodblock Prints by Andreas Marks Artists, Publishers and Masterworks: 1680 - 1900
